Midwestern supplies screening products to a diverse set of industries including a leading manufacturer and producer of acetaminophen, commonly found in many over-the-counter and prescription drugs.
Having plants all over the world supplying important and beneficial drugs to pharmaceutical companies, this company strictly uses Midwestern’s replacement round screens in their Midwest facility. They currently are using the sandwich style screens within their production line of four separators.
The sandwich screens can utilize either round plastic sliders or rubber balls that are sandwiched between the carrier screen and the sizing mesh. The balls or sliders (whichever is used) add extra vibration, helping to increase production rates; but more importantly, they are used as an anti-blinding (or plugging) device that dislodge near-sized particles that can be wedged in the mesh opening.
Keeping the screen clear will help the screeners overall efficiency – by keeping carryover to a minimum.
