A vibrating screen will operate longer and more satisfactorily when attended to and serviced according to a prearranged Maintenance Schedule and Checklist. Repairs can be minimized by good maintenance.
For maintenance:
- Establish a Maintenance Schedule based upon your specific screening machine and the manufacturer’s recommendation.
- Whether round or rectangular, each piece of equipment requires a specific amount of lubrication and regular inspection. Set up a daily time to insure proper running.
- Do not inspect or lubricate a screen that is running.
- Wipe all fittings before lubrication
- Check all bolted connections for proper torque on a routine basis.
- Lubricants, oil cans and grease guns must be stored in a dust-resistant room. Use care to avoid putting contaminant’s in vibrator bearing with oil or grease.
- Keep the screen area clean,
- Check to be sure all guards are replaced.
- Refer to OSHA Lockout/Tagout Standard.
