Today, Midwestern would like to take a moment to remember the efforts and vision of our original founder L.J. “Vern” Riesbeck. Twenty years ago Riesbeck passed away (1995). Stories still echo throughout the company of a man that started in a garage and grew the company to service the needs of screening companies – worldwide.
Riesbeck was known as an intelligent businessman, compassionate owner, and visionary evident by his succession plan outlining the company will continue as employee owned.
Riesbeck started the company with a single product – Converta screen heating transformer. Helping local quarry plants with moisture induced screen plugging by sending an electric current through the screen wires. His education stemmed from being a trained electrician while in the Air Force. With the success of his product, customers kept asking if Riesbeck could manufacture other screen items – our entire product line grew to include round and rectangular screening equipment, replacement screen and part based on the needs of our customers.
Midwestern values our rich history and with over 60 years of experience in craftsmanship, service, and overall quality, we are excited for the future.
