With over six decades servicing the screening industry Midwestern has helped countless companies with solving their screening issues. Our sales personnel are continually being trained, mentored and coached by some of the industries most respected screening professionals to be able to adequately assist our customers, by phone or in person.
While most questions pertain to isolated circumstances, Midwestern’s staff would like to take a moment to answer some more common questions we hear.
“My industry has specific certifications I need to adhere to, can you help?”
“Midwestern has supplied screening equipment and replacement items to nearly all types of industries, from pharmaceutical to aggregates. All we ask is that you supply us with the desired requirements and we will take it from there.
For example, Midwestern’s round separators are available in 3A (dairy standard) in addition we supply magnetic stainless steel mesh and magnets,” said Mike Scharver, Sales/Service Consultant.
“What is the difference between TBC, Mill Grade and Market Grade Meshes?”
“Midwestern will gladly provide anyone with a wire mesh chart that will allow you to compare the different choices. Essentially, the difference between the wire choices is reflected in the wire diameter and the percentage of open area. TBC utilizes the thinnest wire with the most open area while Market Grade has a thicker wire and less open area.
With a thinner wire there is more open area giving you the ability to gain more throughput and less potential for blinding issues. Thicker wire is a more durable and can extend wear-life,” said Chip Woods, Sales/Service Consultant.
“Are your Parts interchangeable with other makes and models of separators?”
“Midwestern offers our customers both screening equipment and replacement items like screens and miscellaneous parts for our separators and other makes. Most of the items are interchangeable with one another; however, it’s best to discuss your needs with your sales professional and they will inform you of all your options,” said Will Lefvendahl, Sales/Service Consultant.
